I think we can all agree one of the best parts about the month of February is all the delicious Valentine’s sweets and treats. So in the spirit of the holiday, we decided to do some festive baking of our own! This recipe is perfect if you are spending the night in on Valentine’s Day and looking for something to indulge in after dinner. It would also be great to make with some friends on Galentine’s Day (it’s pretty instagrammable too).

Strawberry Cake

Ingredients:

1 box white cake mix

1 pack strawberry Jello

3 tablespoons sugar

3 tablespoons all purpose flour

1 cup water

1/2 cup canola oil

2 room temp eggs

Instructions:

Preheat oven to 350

Combine cake mix, jello, sugar & flour

Add water oil & eggs, beat for 2 minutes

Fold in strawberries (optional)

Bake 25-30 minutes

Once the cakes cooled, the fun part began! We went with a heart shape of course, and topped with amazing vanilla frosting. The decor was inspired by the “Y2K” cake trend of course.
